Only 72%? (I’m 42, I don’t count, but also kind of a ‘no’)
New research by @PlanAustralia shows 72% of young Australian women do not feel politics is an equal or inclusive space. Just one in ten believes parliament would be a safe workplace for them. If we all agree more women in politics is a worthy aim, what are we doing about it?
Oh my god @juliettemm you don’t even know Now UK labour are promoting @michaelgove and… I don’t think they know they’re promoting him? Like, he’s saying true and sensible things and they’re sharing the true and sensible things? Long game is getting shorter, this is madness
This is a crisis made in Downing Street. We are all now paying the price for unfunded tax cuts which benefit the wealthiest people in Britain. It couldn’t be any clearer - the Conservatives aren’t on your side.

Ahhhhhh hahahahaha ‘What do you mean design isn’t really about what it looks like?’ 😂😂😂😂😂 Gotta love an affordance, nice work @LabourDesign 👍
Sooo the Tory conference backdrop works pretty well for a bluescreen/greenscreen

I am now suitably engaged in The Discourse that I know *exactly* who this is and hoo boy me neither.
I’ve never seen anyone glare with that level of intensity…

There was one barely perceptible head shake that communicated more contempt that I have ever seen in a facial gesture.

On a personal note - It is extremely difficult to walk into a wall of cameras on your way into a courtroom because there’s this super-strong drive to look at the cameramen on account of they’re people and usually you look at people. It’s an impossible skill to practice, too.
Brittany Higgins has chosen to attend and give evidence in this trial in person. She is being supported by her partner David, the ACT Victims of Crime Commissioner Heidi Yates, Lawyer Leon Zweir and friend Emma Webster. @9NewsAUS

Yo Canberra- little buddy wants a kick tail for his birthday. He’s 10. Where in the Northside/civic area can I take him today?
Lula just overtook Bolsonaro with 73.3% of the vote counted.

I have no evidence that this is actually a test for neurodiversity but I can read it without too much trouble. How about you?
Can you easily read the pictured text? It is upside down and backwards so start at the arrow in the bottom left corner. The next tweet has black text on white if that is easier for you to look at. (V3.0)

Look @juliettemm dude I don’t want to go all ‘wooooo crystal ball’ but during the whole end of the Johnson situation I was kind of thinking ‘yeah @michaelgove wouldn’t actually want that bullshit chalice, he’d probably like, let someone else do it and strike later’ (1
Michael Gove makes clear on @bbclaurak that he thinks there are fundamental ethical, let alone political, problems with what Truss is saying and that he cannot support some of it. He will not be alone on the back benches.

2) but, like a muppet, I didn’t write that down anywhere where anyone could see it so, I will not & should not get credit when & if that happens. If your reputation is swotty and you actually know what not-rich means then Tr*ss is a great counterpoint

3) I take it back, btw. I didn’t back him as Tory PM 10 years ago but I sure as shit do now. If the UK is to have a Tory PM, best it be a radical on the side of people rather than these radicals on the side of everything that isn’t people. Good luck @michaelgove.

4) and if* the man rises and it turns out people actually like him, and all the commentariat go 😱, because a) echo chamber and b) they all just *really hate* people who actually move across class boundaries, like, REALLY hate them, I would like to be the first to say 😎

If you block people on Twitter you’re not truly open to different arguments or ideas. Similarly if you were truly open to trying new and different foods, you’d eat this hot dog I found in the gutter.

Had my first board meeting for Women with Disability ACT. Kept myself on track by drawing a frog. Voila my frog.

Brilliant thread, love it. One for the eye tracking fans.
Here’s a thread I’ve been meaning to do for a long time about eye tracing and spatial orientation in Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s really about one very specific moment — just a few seconds, in fact — but a good opportunity to talk about stuff like axial cuts and visual landmarks.

Fantastic thread.
In 2018, @Tumblr announced a ban on "adult content." That call was made by @Verizon, Tumblr's erstwhile owner, and to call the resulting mess "a shitshow" is an insult to good, hardworking shitshows all over the world. 1/

Good people of Twitter. I seek your wisdom and recommend vis a vis music. What do you love at the moment? No hints, no pointers are per what @djag2 and I like. The question is: what do *you* like?
