Today I allocated US$5 million from @UNCERF to help people affected by flash floods in #Bangladesh. The floods swept away homes and inundated the farmland of 7.2 million people. With this funding, we aim to ease some of their suffering.

Sweden is the world’s fifth largest donor of humanitarian assistance. 🇸🇪 remains committed.
There are UNHCR operations that are desperately underfunded.
We rely on flexible contributions from donors like @GermanyDiplo, @StatePRM, @SweMFA, @NorwayMFA and @DanishMFA to enable us to protect and provide humanitarian assistance to refugees and displaced people.
