Language bias is an underexplored topic in international legal scholarship - and yet, it has crucial implications for the international, legal, and scholarly character of our work. This piece tries to shed more light on the issue. It is available at bit.ly/3BtggkJ 1/2

We need to talk about the disadvantages faced by first-generation students so much more than we do! This is an American example but there are so many ways that assumed knowledge and privilege are confused for talent in our system too
As a first-gen student, I've always known that other students with legacies in academia or family histories of college education have inherent advantages over me, but I don't think I've ever been able to see and understand that as clearly as today.

Solidarity to ECRs waiting for work related reimbursements and those ECRs who won't get any remboursements in the 1st place. I am waiting for more than 6.000€ reimbursements. Also, I have for the moment not been granted funding to pay my flight back to Europe (approx. 1.500€).
Fun fact: I am currently waiting for approx. 2,500 Euro in travel reimbursements from more than four different academic institutions. Next time I am getting a "could you please book yourself, we are happy to reimburse" mail, I will spontaneously self combust
